I’m so excited to be sharing this wintry proposal on the blog. I was so thrilled when Alex reached out to me in the middle of February to see if I was available to photograph his proposal to Ranissa. Alex and I made a plan that he would bring Ranissa to one of their favorite spots in North Conway. While I subtly pretended to photograph my husband on Echo Lake, I was, in fact, staking out the perfect spot to capture Alex and Ranissa. I’m so happy to have been able to spent the first hour of their engagement with them. Just check out how adorable these two are!!

Ranissa wrote out a little story about how they met. It’s all sorts of adorable :  “Alex and I don’t do anything really traditional. We have always been connected one way or another for the last 10 years of our lives. We just so happened to connect two years ago through social media and it was an instant connection. Alex is a Wedding DJ/ Videographer and myself being a wedding photographer – We’re kind of a match made in heaven.”

 

“Alex had planned a weekend getaway to North Conway, New Hampshire. He told me the morning of 02/22/2020- we’re going on a bachelor styled date. We headed off to New Hampshire with our first stop being Jackson Falls, we walked, talked and took some pictures. Then we headed to Diana’s Bath, of course, hiking, talking about our kids, and taking more photos. We then went to our last stop – Echo Lake State Park – which is where we had done our gender reveal photos for our son 2 years ago.  It already had a special place in our hearts. Alex had packed a picnic basket, with wine and a rose. We had a glass of wine, cheered to our weekend away, he handed me a rose and asked: “Do you accept this rose?” I excitedly said YES (The bachelor is like our Monday date night- we’re obsessed) and then we walked out on the frozen lake where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I definitely said YES!! To spend forever with my best friend is all I could hope for. “
