Blue Skies, Golden Pups, & So Much Love

Some weddings just radiate joy—and Jimmy and Jaime’s dog friendly big day at the Old Saco Inn in Fryeburg, Maine, was one of those sunshine-filled celebrations where you couldn’t stop smiling, even if you tried. Nestled in the shadow of the White Mountains and surrounded by a forest of evergreens, this vibrant July wedding was the perfect mix of heartfelt, playful, and wildly fun.

But before we dive into the epic dance floor and dog tuxedos, let’s rewind a bit to their love story.

The Tiki Bar Started It All

Jaime and Jimmy met in the most serendipitous way—at a tiki bar in Westford, Massachusetts. Jaime was waitressing and Jimmy (boldly!) left his number. That little slip of paper led to a story that spanned breweries, lakeside hangs, bar-hopping in Cambridge, and weekend visits between Merrimack and Somerville. By 2018, Jaime and Jimmy were living together with their beloved golden retriever, Wilson, making the most of city life with hikes, travel, and movie nights. Not long after, they decided Wilson needed a sibling—enter Wrangler, the second golden to steal their hearts.

In 2020, Jaime and Jimmy bought their dream home in Westford—a cozy spot perfect for pizza nights on the deck, long dog walks, and, of course, planning their wedding.

The Dogs of Honor

Fast forward to this beautiful summer day: a warm breeze in the air, sunshine sparkling through the trees, and two golden retrievers in tiny blue tuxedos, eager to walk their parents down the aisle. And I mean eager. During the ceremony, Wilson and Wrangler were determined to be part of the moment, slowly creeping closer and closer to Jimmy and Jaime, much to everyone’s amusement. It was like they were saying, “Let’s wrap this up and get to the party!”

They were also the stars of cocktail hour, striking poses and collecting selfies with basically every guest. I’m pretty sure they thought it was their wedding—and honestly, we were all okay with that.

The celebration continued with an explosion of energy as the and the pups were introduced into the reception with “Who Let the Dogs Out,” and the crowd went wild. From there, the night only got better. The Silver Arrow Band absolutely crushed it, keeping the dance floor packed all night long with nonstop music and infectious energy. The vibe was electric.

A Perfect Day

Their vibrant blue palette popped perfectly against the surrounding greenery, and every thoughtful detail felt like a window into who Jimmy and Jaime are—down-to-earth, full of love, and just so much fun.
