Sarah & Rich got married on the last day of summer on the most perfect day. These two live in New York City and came all the way to Maine to start the next chapter of their lives together. They couldn’t keep a smile off either of their faces all. day. long. The color palette of blues and pink was the best compliment to their nautical island wedding. I’m so thrilled to be able to share with you how they got to the point of their gorgeous day :
Sarah wrote out her love story for me and it’s seriously the cutest thing ever. “Sarah and Rich met at Georgetown University at the beginning of Sarah’s freshman year (Rich was a senior). Sarah grew up in Portland and had never lived outside of Maine, so Washington D.C. was a big adventure for her! Rich grew up in New Jersey, so he wasn’t too far from home. They met at a party and immediately hit it off. Knowing that Rich was going to be graduating that year and Sarah had just started her college experience, they didn’t start officially dating but were definitely smitten with each other! Rich graduated and moved to New York City and they kept in touch through emails and Rich’s occasional visits back to Washington, D.C. After her junior year of college, Sarah got a summer internship in finance in New York City and was excited to be living in the same city as Rich. Rich welcomed her to New York by taking her on a tour of the city via helicopter! After a few weeks of summer courtship in the city, they made it official and started dating. They fell in love over that summer and Sarah knew Rich was the one when he visited her in Maine and got along so well with her family. He loved Maine as much as she did! The two were long distance during Sarah’s senior year of college but she moved to New York upon graduating and they were ecstatic to finally be permanently living in the same place.”
“They moved in together in June of 2016 into an apartment that overlooks the Hudson river and Battery Park; making Sarah feel like she was home in Maine with the nature and water views. Rich proposed in July of 2017 on Lambert’s Cove Beach in Martha’s Vineyard. He figured out that the beach was 286 miles from Vinalhaven, Maine (where Sarah spent her summers growing up) and 286 miles from Westfield, New Jersey (where Rich grew up). It was the perfect place to “meet in the middle” and start a life together!” Um, how cute is that?! I can’t even!
I hope you love seeing their love story unfold as much as I loved capturing it xoxo
