Magda & Kyle | Reid State Park Engagement | Maine Engagement Photographer

Engagement, Portrait

the blog:

I’m so excited to be posting my first blog of 2020! What better way to kick it off than with Magda and Kyle’s perfect late fall engagement session. I met these two cuties at their friends’ wedding I was photographing in the summer of 2019. We started chatting and I immediately fell in love with them. I was SO excited when they reached out to me to photograph their own wedding this fall at Hardy Farm. Hardy Farm has a special place in my heart as my husband and I got married there five years ago. I might be a little biased, but I think it’s SUCH a beautiful place to start the first day of their lives together!

Magda and Kyle live in Chicago with their adorable pup, Lola. Kyle is originally from Maine and introduced Magda to its scenic beauty when they first started dating. What better way to make Maine even more special to the two of them than to get married here! Magda and I spent awhile trying to find the PERFECT place for their engagement session while they were in Maine for Thanksgiving. She wanted a quintessential Maine backdrop complete with a rocky coastline and evergreen trees (because, Maine). Reid State Park in Georgetown literally fit all of the points. Keep scrolling down to read all about their love story!

Magda sent me tidbits of their love story and I am head-over-heels for these two :

“We first met on August 31st 2015 in a small German town off of the Rhein River, called Heidelberg. It was love at first sight when we locked eyes on the first day of the new semester of our Master’s program. We spent the next three years together traveling around the world. On August 31st, 2018, exactly 3 years after we first met, we were adventuring through Scandinavia, and that’s where our next chapter began…”

“We were zigzagging up the streets of Bergen, Norway to try to make it to the top of the mountain in time for sunset. Once we finally reached the top, Kyle got down on one knee and asked me the most important question of my life thus far. I of course said yes! We spent the rest of the night celebrating with champagne in the mountaintop restaurant that was kept open late, just for us.”

I am over the moon to be documenting the next part of your love story in September! Can’t wait xoxo
