Winter. It’s not always what people would consider an ideal season for engagement (or even portrait) sessions. However, it can be the most visually dramatic and unique. Enter Danielle and Toby – Danielle reached out to me earlier at the beginning of the year to let me know that she had just gotten engaged. She wanted to celebrate ASAP with getting not only an engagement session done, but also including her adorable four year old daughter to mark their new chapter as a family of three. Danielle and Toby also are parents to three fur babies – Baxter, Rosie, and Dover. I quickly discovered at their session that ball is life. If you look closely at their images, you might spot a ball lying here or there in an effort to play while their humans were trying to get their picture taken. I absolutely loved that they just free ranged throughout the whole session, adding humor and cuteness to the backdrop of a wintry beach. Keep scrolling for more!
They chose to have their engagement session in Harpswell on a beach in winter. I can’t stress enough how awesome winter sessions can be! Danielle wore a bright and colorful outfit which added such an amazing pop to their session. It was a bit chilly, but it was totally worth the cuteness overload that resulted. I’m so, so happy and honored that they chose me to help them mark this occasion! Congratulations to all three of you and happy wedding planning xoxo
