I’m so excited to share this sunny (and wintry) proposal with you! Dan reached out to me at the beginning of a chilly March week to ask if I would be interested in photographing his proposal to his girlfriend, Kelly. Um, heck yes! I love photographing proposals, so I was already hooked. He was coming up to the White Mountains area of New Hampshire for a long weekend that coming Friday and was planning on popping the question there. We originally had planned for Saturday afternoon, but Dan quickly reached out on Thursday asking if we could switch to Friday since the weather was going to be significantly warmer. Thank goodness we did because it was blustery and chilly and I am so glad we didn’t all freeze up there!
Dan chose a little scenic overlook in Eidelweiss, NH that he had been to previously with his daughters the year before. It was so cozy and private – absolutely perfect for them! Since there was no where for me to hide in the bushes or sneak attack, we planned for me to be there ahead of time with the excuse of photographing my husband (i.e. tourists). We definitely looked like tourists as I was ill-prepared without winter boots and was rocking flats that were completely soaked through haha! When they showed up, Dan wasted no time and got down on one knee as soon as they were close to the overlook. It was so beautiful and completely took Kelly by surprise! She said yes! Come to find out later, Dan proposed to her using her grandmother’s ring *ahhh the cutest*.
These two followed us to Narrows Bridge in Tamworth for a quick portrait session with Mount Chocorua as their backdrop before heading out to celebrate and call all of their people with the good news! I’m so, so thrilled to share just a little bit of their gallery with you today. Enjoy xoxo
