Oh hi! It’s been a lonnnggggg minute since I have updated my blog. I can’t even begin to share with you how many amazing people I have met over the past few years as I’ve been photographing couples, families, and weddings. I wanted to start at one of my favorite couples in 2022. Enter Kelley and Cary!
Kelley reached out to me to photograph her proposing to her girlfriend, Carly, while they were visiting Maine. There’s nothing more iconic in Maine than the Portland Head Light in Cape, Elizabeth. It was such an iffy afternoon with rain, but, as serendipity and fate would have it, a crazy beautiful rainbow popped out RIGHT as Kelley was leading an unsuspecting Carly to our meeting spot on the cliffs of Fort Williams.
Although I am a horrible actress, I was so excited that Carly was willing to be a test subject for me to “test my light” for a session that was coming up soon. While I positioned Carly, Kelley got into position to propose. Carly was so surprised and giddy at the ruse. Of course, she said yes!
We explored all around Portland Head Light taking adorable portraits of these two. They were full of giggles and smiles. They made my job incredibly easy to capture their love. I couldn’t have been more honored to capture the beginning of their next chapter of their love story. These two were married in 2024 in Italy (insert all the swoons)! I was lucky enough to photograph Kelley’s sister’s wedding that same year and see these two again, but that is another post for a later time xo
Enjoy a few highlights from their session below xo
